We now DON’T have a newspaper collection project up and running to help raise funds for preschool. Due to the economy, they’re are not taking papers for money anymore. They aren’t sure when it will start up again. I contact them occasionally but get the same answer. I will update this message when I receive a “YES” answer and also send a note home from school.

At that time, you can drop your papers in front of the school in the white shed. The papers need to be stacked neatly in paper grocery bags or tied in bundles. It should only include what actually comes in the newspaper – no magazines, phone books, catalogs or mail. It would be great to get the shed emptied of previous papers and have some volunteers to continue to maintain it. I’m willing to deliver if others will help load on a day that we can coordinate our schedules. We’ve had a great workday with Kelly and Stacy helping load the pickup for our first trip. It’s important for us to get ahead before the weather changes. From then on, we’ll deliver a load before the shed is about half full. It’s exciting to anticipate building up a fund for larger purchases and recycling at the same time.
